What do we need to bring?
Just yourself. Daniela brings all the materials for the crowns. Come ready in your dress or outfit for the shoot, with your makeup already on. Flowing dresses, colour, sparkle, whatever makes you feel like a goddess.
How much does it cost?
Photoshoots start at $250 per person. Group buyouts are available for 20 to 35 women. Inquire for pricing for individuals or for your group.
Why does it cost $250?
Flower crown workshops on their own often run around $65 to $150 a person, and photo mini-sessions often run around $150 to $350. Crowned bundles both, plus posing coaching, a DJ dance party, champagne, fruit and chocolate, and three edited photos. So $250 is fair and still lands as a treat. You also get to drop in deeper with your friends or make new ones. And you keep your crown, of course!
How many women can join a private buyout?
Private buyouts are for groups of 20 to 35 women. If your group is smaller, inquire about individual spots at an upcoming Crowned gathering.
How do we reserve our date?
A 50% deposit reserves your date. The remaining balance is due 7 days before your event.
What is the cancellation policy?
If you cancel 7 or more days before your event, we refund 50% of what you have paid. Cancellations made less than 7 days before the event are non-refundable.
Do you travel?
Yes. Crowned travels throughout the Northeast. For events outside the Northeast, inquire about travel.
How much space do we need?
For a group of up to 35 women, plan on a main room of about 1,000 square feet, big enough for everyone to sit in one large circle to make crowns and then dance. You will also need a separate photo area of about 300 square feet, ideally with good natural light or an outdoor garden. A couple of tables for flowers and refreshments and a power outlet for the DJ complete the setup. Not sure your space works? Send us photos when you inquire.
When do we get our photos?
Each woman chooses her three favourite images from her shoot and receives them edited within three weeks. If you want more, additional packages of three or more images can be purchased directly from Paula.
Is this for women only?
No! We love and welcome people of all genders. Having a womb is not necessary for this experience, and we would love to welcome you.
I own a studio, salon, cafe or gallery. Can we partner?
Yes! As a Partner Venue, your business hosts Crowned and promotes it to your community, and you earn 15% of every ticket sold, or 20% when more than 25 tickets sell. We bring everything and run the whole event, with no upfront cost. Partner Venues are for businesses with a public space. If you want Crowned at your home or for a private group, that's a group buyout.
Can we bring our own food?
Yes. You are welcome to bring food and drinks for your group. Champagne, strawberries and chocolate are on us, so anything else you bring is a bonus.
Is champagne served to everyone?
Champagne is served to guests 21 and over, with a sparkling non-alcoholic option for everyone.
Do we need to be crafty?
No. The headdresses come together in under an hour and Daniela guides you through every step. First-timers make crowns as striking as anyone's.
What if our group doesn't know each other?
That is what the connection drop-in is for. By the time the posing workshop starts, the room feels like friends, which is why the photos look so relaxed.
